Slowing is hard!
My wife is amazing, she effortlessly strolls along with our 2-year old daughter, Lula, easefully following her 2-year-old pace, stopping every few steps to literally smell the roses.
Me, on the other hand, am 45 steps ahead trying hard to walk even slower than I perceive is actually possible. My wife, Romy, invites me to slow down again but this time says, I have a great solution for you, “Why don’t you walk behind us?” I thought, “Okay that could work, let’s give it a go”. I couldn’t believe how walking behind Romy and Lula could bring up so much! I was angry, I was impatient, I was anxious. We were on our way to the park and it was as if I was the toddler who couldn’t wait to get on the swings. Why was I in such a rush to get to the park??
